Carli Cristofari Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Are your thoughts, moods, feelings, and behaviors negatively impacting your ability to enjoy your daily life and relationships? Maybe you want to make a change, but you don’t know where to begin. I personally understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to reach out for help. You don’t need to navigate difficult times alone; no concern is too big or small! I believe that you are the expert in your own life and aim to meet you where you’re at. Together we can create positive changes in how you think, feel, and behave. I am committed to honoring your resiliency and autonomy while collaboratively building on your pre-existing skills to improve your overall well-being.

I value being authentic, compassionate, empathetic, non-judgmental, and understanding, and bring these aspects of myself into my therapeutic relationship with clients. Within therapy, I aspire to provide a warm and supportive space where clients can lean into their vulnerabilities and emotions, explore their stories, recognize their internal strengths, identify their needs and values, and accomplish their personal goals for therapy. While I am passionate about helping emerging adults explore their identities and reclaim their stories after trauma, I aim to collaboratively work to improve and maintain the mental health and well-being of people of all ages, genders, and sexualities. I am queer and trans-affirming. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your path of personal growth.

Biggest Accomplishment:  I like to believe that I have yet to achieve my greatest accomplishment. While I’ve always valued personal growth, I became rather self-critical during my undergraduate career. Through therapy, I learned to be more self-compassionate. So, you could say that my biggest accomplishment so far is embracing the fact that self-acceptance and self-growth aren’t mutually exclusive.
Neat Fact About Me:  As a toddler, I learned how to eat with chopsticks before learning to use a fork
